About Dandadan

Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialized on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital platform since 2021. The story follows two high school misfits — occult-obsessed Ken "Okarun" Takakura and spirit-medium-descended Momo Ayase — who get into an argument over whether ghosts or aliens are real. To prove each other wrong, they investigate a haunted tunnel and an alien hotspot respectively, only to discover that both are real, both are dangerous, and both leave them with bizarre supernatural powers. As they navigate yokai attacks, alien encounters, generational curses, and high school romance, the series delivers a uniquely chaotic blend of horror, comedy, action, and heart. The anime adaptation by Science SARU premiered in 2024 to massive critical and commercial success, with Season 2 airing in 2025 and the series quickly establishing itself as one of the most stylish and beloved new anime of the decade.
