About Date A Live

Date A Live is a Japanese light novel series written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, originally serialized by Fujimi Shobo from 2011 to 2020 and continued through the spinoff series Date A Bullet. Set in a world where mysterious "spacequakes" caused by otherworldly Spirits threaten humanity, the story follows Shido Itsuka, an ordinary high school student tasked with the impossible mission of saving the world by making the Spirits fall in love with him — sealing their dangerous powers through a kiss. As Shido dates a growing harem of supernaturally powerful girls, he uncovers the deeper mystery behind the Spirits' origins and his own forgotten past. The franchise has expanded into a manga adaptation, four anime seasons (Date A Live I, II, III, and IV), the Date A Live V continuation, multiple theatrical films including Date A Live: Mayuri Judgement and the Date A Bullet film duology, video games, and one of the most prolific anime figure lineups in the hobby.
